The interior design is superb! Done excellently! Every single detail is gorgeous from the glassware to the facade of the building. This place is the epitome of retro 70s luxury chic. The designer of the exterior and interior building should win an award. I can’t praise this place enough. If I had one negative thing to say is they need to work on the food and currently no room service everything closes at 11p.Beautiful Casino, But Poor Guest Experience at the Slots We drove in from Sacramento—just under two hours on a scenic open-country road. Along the way, we passed through some charming small towns, adding to the experience. When we arrived at Chicken Ranch, we were impressed right away. The casino is modern, clean, and airy, with massive windows that make the interior feel welcoming and fresh. The design is top-notch. Unfortunately, our visit took a downturn. After depositing $300 into a slot machine, two employees stood directly behind me, conducting what appeared to be a machine audit. One stood over my left shoulder, the other over my right, talking and tapping away on devices. I asked politely if they needed anything from me, and one of them responded rudely, “We’re working!!” It felt intrusive and disrespectful, especially at a moment when I was simply trying to enjoy myself. That moment soured the experience—and the money didn’t last long either. I believe staff could use better training in how to interact around guests, especially during sensitive moments like gaming. Aside from that, the casino itself is stunning, with great restaurants, well-made drinks, and beautiful patios offering amazing views. With some improvements in customer service, this could be a five-star destination.Definitely not a cookie cutter hotel / casino layout. It was an original and pretty cool design I thought. Fair games table games and machines were offered in a nice, smoke free environment, which was a pleasant change from some of the Sacramento area casinos I go to. All the employees I dealt with in all departments were friendly and helpful. My only complaint about the casino was that it was freezing the first night I was there. Much more comfortable the second night. The room was nice, but the layout made it difficult to see the TV unless you were lying in bed. Overall I had a good experience and will definitely be back whenever I’m in the area. 10/10 would recommend. The interior design is superb! Done excellently! I got two rooms there for myself and my parents. We had a great experience. The rooms were beautiful. We had a blast gambling. We had a delicious dinner a wonderful breakfast. The shop is wonderful with cute knickknacks and bakery goods . Front desk is helpful and friendly ! The valet parking team is a plus they go above and beyond the call of duty for customer service.! 🫶💪🎉👏🥰5/5Kristine G•Jun 8, 2025 from Google
We stopped to gamble a little bit. The casino was nice, bright, and clean. It had huge windows on one side which helped brighten it up. The chairs at each machine are very comfortable. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t super busy. The BEST part was no smoking in the casino!! They do have a smoking patio people can use. We’ll go back again.See more reviews
